Day by day past
Seasons change
High of highs
Low of lows

All the groans through the night
All the laughters during the day

Family, friends, lover
Education, career, fame

To everything there is a season
and a time to every purpose under the heaven

The birds flew across the nation
The snake sheds off its skin
The leaves shriveled
The waves crashed into the beach….
…and yet return to the ocean

What has been will be again
What has been done will be done again
There is nothing new under the sun

A longing that never gets satisfied
The hollow heart searching for meaning
Oh where is my rest?

Excitement, thrill, happiness
Disappointments, hurts, failures…
…Disgust, filth, anxiety, condemnation
…Guilt, upon guilt, upon guilt

Selah

For unto us a Child is born
Unto us a Son is given and His name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, 
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Selah

Could this be it?
The light that brings hope?
The joy given to humanity?

Never changing, never ceasing

My Lord, You stay with me
You are my constant and my pride 

A longing that never gets satisfied

My Lord, You are the living water that never runs dry
My Lord, You are the reason of my very existence 

…Guilt, upon guilt, upon guilt 

My Lord, You are my savior
You lifted my soul
and cleansed me white as snow 

Oh what more can I say when my life is a testament
You are a God in all seasons
